NORWICH ART CIRCLE
Norwich Art Circle was formed in February 1885, held its first general meeting on 23 April and opened its first exhibition at its rooms in the Old Bank of England Chambers, Queen Street, Norwich on 14 September 1885 when they had 46 pictures on show. In 1927 it merged with the Woodpecker Art Club, originally Woodpecker Sketch Club formed in 1877, when renamed Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle.
