HOLLOWAY, Joy
As Joyce Edith Templeman, she was born at Alcester, Warwickshire on 22 December 1920, daughter of Leonard Norman Templeman (6 April 1884-29 July 1962), in the Royal Navy, and his wife Edith Annie née Clark (6 January 1895-3 April 1973), who married at Barton-on-the-Heath, Warwick on 22 June 1919. Joy studied at Stoke Damerel High School, Plymouth passing her Civil Service Clerical Class in 1938 and in 1939, an unmarried clerical officer, living at 223 Earls Court Road, Kensington, London. She married in Surrey Northern District in 1950, Geoffrey Elliott Holloway (12 December 1914-19 March 1998) and painted under the name of Joy Holloway. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1979-1983 from Mettingham, Suffolk also a member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists from Benstead Farm, Bungay, Suffolk. Joyce Edith Holloway died in the Waveney district of Suffolk on 9 July 2006.
