HURR, Maurice

1915 - 2008

Samuel Maurice Hurr was born at Southwold, Suffolk on 12 May 1915, son of Samuel May Hurr (1892-1957) and his wife Beryl Grace née Ellis (1896-1992), who married at Southwold in 1914. Young Samuel married at Hunstanton, Norfolk on 2 October 1937, Constance Ethel Edwards (3 October 1916-28 February 2008) and they had one daughter. He painted under the name of Maurice Hurr and was a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1968-1969 from Lowestoft and a member and exhibitor at Beccles Society of Artists from 1 Dene Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. In 1939, a radio service & electrician engineer, living at The Retreat, Heacham, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, with his wife Contance. Samuel Maurice Hurr died at Norwich on 29 April 2008 and buried at Hunstanton, Norfolk.
