CARNEGIE, Gillian Dawn
Gillian Dawn Carnegie was born at Woolpit, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk in 1971, daughter of John M. G. Carnegie and his wife Susan T. née Winsor, who married in Northumberland in 1965. Gillian studied at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts, gaining a B.A. (hons) and her master's degree from the Royal College of Art in 1988. Her work includes small still life, landscape, and portrait paintings. She has exhibited in group shows at Tate Britain and was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2005, she also had a solo exhibition at Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York in 2011. She now lives in North London.
