Donna Marie Goymer obtained an Art 'O' level at school and art has been a lifelong creative space, however Donna qualified as a nurse in 1991 and worked hard focusing on her nursing career but did not give up art as a creative outlet over the years. Donna has worked in differing mediums over the years and received a 'Visitors Choice Award' for an art quilt at the NEC Birmingham Festival Of Quilts in 2017 which made her take her artwork more seriously and with the prize money allowed her to take a Creative Stitch 2 year course in Ipswich. Although her work was previously in textiles she has since developed with mixed media paintings and printmaking which was introduced to her, and she completed two workshops at the Curwen Print Study Centre and in 2025 completed the Curwen Certificate Course in Fine Art Printmaking. Printmaking has opened up a new world, whether it’s using traditional techniques or breaking the rules slightly and exploring printing as contemporary art. She works from a studio at her home and prints her art on a small relief press and her Sizzix Big Shot press. Donna has exhibited at various events over the years including Gazeley Affordable Art Show; Craft House Woodbridge; Blackthorpe Barn; Suffolk Open Studios; Babylon Gallery and elsewhere.
