Andrew Pottruff

Andrew Earl P Pottruff was born in London City in 1966, son of Colin Earl Pottruff (March1942-) and his wife Janice Aileen née Fountain (February 1946-), who married at Bridge, Kent in 1964. Educated at Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hampshire and studied at University of Plymouth, Exeter for his BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Painting. An architectural designer for over the thirty years in his own company. His current work is a combination of process and concept when paint and ink are worked into paper allowed to dry then cut into squares. Each square is unique and cut randomly and the image is then allowed to gradually evolve through the process of applying one square at a time. The paintings are intended to allude to landscape and natural shapes that occur within the landscape. A a member of the artist’s community at Art Station in Saxmundham, Suffolk. Andrew has exhibited at 14 X 14 Gallery, Framlingham; Artspace Woodbridge; Wingfield Barns; St Margaret's Church Gallery, St Benedicts Street, Norwich; Gallery 21 at Snape Maltings Galleries and elsewhere.
