MEYER, Charlie
Charlotte J Meyer studied at Goldsmiths College University of London. Charlie, as she is known, has worked as an illustrator for several years and previously managed Mencap projects across nine boroughs in London, finding creative and holistic opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. She manages the Brave Art programme for Suffolk Artlink working alongside students to develop the themes and ideas and helping students to develop their skills and find opportunities for them to show their work to a larger audience. When she is not at Suffolk Artlink, Charlie works as a freelance illustrator working on children’s books and has had several books published and has worked on projects with Scope and Quentin Blake. From her studio at Eye in Suffolk she works in watercolour, gouache, pencil and ink and is influenced by Judith Kerr (1923-2019) and Helen Oxenbury.
