Rachel Shohet married at Ipswich in 1997 Toby Mayhew but still works at Rachel Shohet. Rachel is a self taught sculptor and artist using clay and resin for sculptures, enamel-on-metal for paintings and mixed media and found objects in other works. Rachel also experiments with different mediums for sculpture and painting, tending not to use conventional materials so each piece has an element of surprise. A member of Suffolk Open Studios from 1 Reeve Gardens, Kesgrave, Ipswich. She has exhibited at Gallery 142 and Art At the Ferry both at Felixstowe and at 13th Ipswich Sea Scouts Exhibitions.
