HADLEIGH GALLERY
The Hadleigh Gallery at Odds and Ends at 134 High Street, Hadleigh, Suffolk is first noticed as Odds and Ends Gallery with an exhibition in April 1982 of wildlife drawings by artist David Williams of Lindsey, near Hadleigh. It is next noticed with an exhibition of the etchings and watercolours of Cambridge artist John Preston from 19 March to 23 April 1983 and later that year exhibiting the works of Della Chapman and Linda Vipond. In 1986 12pm Printmakers held an exhibition at the Hadleigh Gallery but in 1988 The Hadleigh Gallery was at Victoria House, Market Place, Hadleigh, Suffolk, a successor to the Forum Gallery Hadleigh when the new gallery and studio was opened on Monday 4 July 1988 with a resident artist Winifred Hall. An exhibition, which was opened by Maggi Hambling was held from 19 October until 3 November 1988 when four local artist were showing, Harry Hambling, Bill Whitsett, Winifred Hanrahan and James Chambury.
