GALERIE BETTY CHARLES
Galerie Betty Charles at Suffolk House, High Street, Yoxford, Suffolk was founded by Lucy Charles who has worked as an independent art dealer and curator to major private collections, but with an ambition to open her own gallery space. The Galerie Betty Charles is managed by Charlotte Hone and is a specialist gallery which features Modern British and European works of art from 1860 to 1960 also selected Contemporary works of art and is owned by husband-and-wife team Oliver and Lucy Charles who between them have over sixty years of experience working in the art world and art law related services. Their May/June 2025 exhibition at Yoxford included local artists Lillias August, Ed Cooper, Mary Potter, Peter Burman other artists included Norfolk artist Geoffrey Chatten (1938-). The Galerie Betty Charles also offers a rehanging and curation service for existing collections, cataloguing of collections for insurance and probate purposes and making specialist searches for mid-century furniture to match existing or new works of art.
