MARSDON, Sue
Susan A Marsdon studied painting at Bath Academy of Art where she was introduced to life drawing and she continues to love the art and draws from the model regularly. Sue has also been making rag rugs, or 'hookies', for several decades, first learning at Denman College and discovered that rag rugs were made by some of the Great Bardfield, Essex artists which inspired her to base several of her rugs on their prints including those of Edward Bawden. Sue moved to Sudbury in the late 1980s and and has organised a life drawing group in Sudbury for over thirty years which she runs at the Hills Room at Gainsborough's House. Sue exhibits with Mill Tye Gallery from Friars Street, Sudbury and is a member of Sudbury Art Collective.
