CORKHILL, Caroline Lummis
Caroline Lummis Corkhill, is an art teacher & coordinator who lives in Ipswich. Caroline sculpts in wire and copper, welding frames for large scale metal works. Artist in residence at Bealings School, near Ipswich where a ladybird and dragonfly were created from steel and copper layering which were on the outside of the school. Other metal garden sculptures include dragons, angels and mythical beasts. Caroline has completed commissions for Helmingham Hall and the Felixstowe Bid, while projects for Summerhill School and the Ipswich Open Exhibition in 2024 also showing at Ipswich Town Hall Gallery and has exhibited at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe, Suffolk. Her husband Trevor Michael Corkhill is also a worker in metal.
