ART IN ALDEBURGH

2014 - ?

Art in Aldeburgh was founded by Lesley Rosalind Shooter (1947-) to fulfil a need for art courses in Aldeburgh. Art in Aldeburgh launched its first course in October 2014 with courses for both those new to art as well as those with some experience and were held in a studio in Victoria Road, Aldeburgh. The courses proved ideal for participants wanting to explore their creativity and develop new techniques guided by experienced tutors and with the small group size of just six enabled students to be taught as an individual and this remains an important consideration for their courses. At the end of the 2024 Lesley retired from the Art in Aldeburgh, which was then run by Caro Burberry, one of its regular tutors. Caro has led specialist creative workshops for over thirty years and been a guest lecturer at De Montfort University. Tutors have included Karenza Jackson, Carole Massey and Andrew Pitt.
