WINDLE, Vaughan
Vaughan F Windle was born at Islington, London in 1948, son of Donald Charles F Windle (1916-1978) and his wife Gwyneth Maud née Meredith (1914-1988), who married at Hampstead in 1946. He studied at Woolverstone Hall near Ipwich 1959-1966 for his 'O' level in art, and at Leicester Polytechnic 1967-1970 for a Diploma AD (BA) Furniture Design. He worked at Suffolk County Council and married in 1999 Jennifer C. Mackay and they moved to Leiston in Suffolk. Vaughan, who is an art teacher, has been painting in watercolour for several years and has had several successful exhibitions in Suffolk and elected a member of the British Art Club in 2014. A retired teacher of Design and Technology and now tutors adult art groups in painting and drawing.
