MALCOLM INNES GALLERY
The Malcolm Innes Gallery was incorporated as trading at 10 Queen Street Place, London on 23 October 1972 and in 1980 was at 172 Walton Street, London and in 1995 at 7 Bury Street, London SW1, and in 2000 it was incorporated into the Rountree Tryon Galleries. In the early 1980s, he opened a gallery in George Street, Perth, which he later moved to 67 George Street, Edinburgh which traded as Malcolm Innes. As retirement approached, Malcolm passed on the Edinburgh gallery to his long-time partner Anthony Woodd, as the Anthony Woodd Gallery, while the London operation merged with the renowned Tryon Gallery, now known as Rountree Tryon Gallery and based in Petworth. Malcolm Alastair Innes (1939-) was one of Britain’s most respected dealers in Scottish, sporting, and military pictures. Suffolk artists who exhibited at the Malcolm Innes Gallery in London include Hugh Denis Charles Fitzroy and Cosmo Alexander Richard Nevill.
