GUAITAMACCHI, Bruno
Bruno Guaitamacchi was born in Milan Italy in 1931. He studied music for five years before taking up art and exhibited in Italy, America and London and was a regular visitor to East Anglia in the early 1960s. He exhibited at the Phoenix Art Gallery in Lavenham, Suffolk in 1988, the Wildlife Art Gallery, Lavenham in 1998. His wife, Di lui Magda Guaitamacchi was a much-celebrated ceramist who exhibited internationally, and their son is artist Paolo Maria Guaitamacchi, who was born in London in 1956, who changed his professional name to Demaria, meaning 'of Maria', and began using his baptismal name from his childhood in England, Paul Demaria Guaitamacchi. Bruno Guaitamacchi lived at Lime View Cottage, High Street, Cavendish, Sudbury, Suffolk and where he died on 21 September 2005.
