In 2022 a new art festival was established in Felixstowe, Suffolk called Art at the Beach for local artists to highlight and sell their work at Beach Street Felixstowe. The aim was to strengthen the local art community and make art accessible to everyone, with over forty artists and creatives displaying their work, family friendly art activities for visitors and more. Art at the Beach was created due to the suspension of the well-known event, Art on the Prom and titled the event Art at the Beach. However, Art on the Prom is due to return, and Art at the Beach has been renamed Art Market. Both events are important to the local art scene and the local economy.
