COE, Nicola
As Nicola Chapman she married at Exeter, Devon in 1990, Martin Coe and works as Nicola Coe. Nicola is a graduate Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and is a multi-disciplinary artist working with contact printing techniques, natural dyes, and home-made oak gall ink and she makes a variety of paper works and artists books, along with a range of wearable art ‘foraged’. Working from nature, foraging in garden and landscape for keepsakes of memory such as feathers and leaves, her work attempts to evoke a sense of looking more deeply at the beauty of nature. Husband and wife Martin and Nicola Coe are members of Suffolk Open Studios from The Garden House, 5 Boulge Road, Hasketon, just outside Woodbridge where they both work from their own studios in their garden. A member of the Ipswich Art Society and Artworks East and has also exhibited at Artspace Woodbridge.
