4PRINTMAKERS
4PRINTmakers are a group of women artists who have come together to share work and practice. Working as an artist is a solitary pursuit, whereas joining together as a group has helped to inspire, encourage, and motivate them. Each member comes from a different artistic background: ceramics, graphics, textiles, painting, and community arts, but have found common ground in printmaking. Having met at Gainsborough's House Print Workshop in Sudbury they have individually developed different styles as printmakers and use a range of techniques including etching, linocut, woodcut, screen printing and collage. This variety within the group contrasts and yet in no way conflict their differing styles which are complimentary.
