HACKING, Sam
Samantha Jane Hacking graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in London with a B.A. in Fine Art and from the University of East Anglia with a Master's Distinction in Prose Fiction. Sam, as she is known, is an artist and writer and has exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Artworks Creekside, Deptford; The Rag Factory, Spitalfields Arts Market; 176 Gallery, 176 Prince of Wales Road, London; Affordable Art Fair, Battersea; Artspace Woodbridge; Snape Maltings Galleries; Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield, Lowestoft and elsewhere. Her writing has been published in several magazines such as Funhouse, Potluck, Thin Noon and Cold Lips and is working on a novel and short story collection, alongside her painting and in 2019 she won 'Escalator' award, an emerging writers' competition and yearlong scheme at The National Centre for Writing in Norwich. A member of Colchester Art Society and a member of Suffolk Open Studios with a studio at 6 Harwood Place, Lavenham, Suffolk.
