HACKING, Sam
Samantha Jane Hacking graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in London with a B.A. in Fine Art and a Distinction in M.A. Prose Fiction from University of East Anglia. She is an artist and writer and has exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Creekside Studios, The Rag Factory, Mol’s Place Gallery, Ravens Row Gallery, 176 Gallery, Hampstead Affordable Art Fair, The Yard Theatre; Artspace, Woodbridge; The Maltings Gallery, Snape; Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield and elsewhere. Her writing has been published in several magazines such as Funhouse, Potluck, Thin Noon and Cold Lips is working on a novel and short story collection, alongside her painting and in 2019 she won 'Escalator' award, an emerging writers' competition and yearlong scheme at The National Centre for Writing in Norwich. A member of Colchester Art Society and a member of Suffolk Open Studios with a studio at 6 Harwood Place, Lavenham, Suffolk.
