BAIBEKOV, Rinat

Rinat Baibekov was born in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia in 1962 and comes from a family of painters. When young, he began sketching and painting and attending art courses alongside his primary education. After completing his high school education, he studied at the Kazan Art Institute followed by the Kharkov Academy of Fine Art majoring in Public Art. Working as a professional artist in Leningrad, now named St Petersburg, in 1990 he moved to Toronto, Canada until 1998 when he settled in Cambridge. Rinat works in a variety of media, including watercolour, drawing materials, oils, acrylics, and fresco, and has exhibited at the Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield, Lowestoft; Upstairs Gallery, Beccles; The Square Gallery, Margate; Guildhall, Cambridge; Interurban Gallery, Vancouver, Canada; Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, Bologna, Italy; Moscow and elsewhere. A former member of Easterly Artists and a member of North Sea Magical Realists and lives at Lowestoft, Suffolk.
