EASTERLY ARTISTS
Easterly Artists was formed in 2018 as a mutually supportive group of artists to promote the practice of local visual artists and encourage awareness and appreciation of their work. The group encompasses work across a variety of media from oil paint to drawing, printmaking to ceramics and artistic woodturning to sculptural assemblages using found objects. Members are all practising artists working within a few miles of Ness Point, the most easterly part of the UK. They held their first exhibition at the Britten Centre at Lowestoft, Suffolk in April 2018 when their then current fifteen members have been included in exhibitions at 'Change' at Fisher Theatre Gallery, Bungay, February and March 2019, Group Exhibition at the Britten Centre April, and May 2019 and at 165 London Road North, Lowestoft in September and October 2019. They held an exhibition at the Ferini Gallery 5 November 2021-9 January 2022 and another from 3 December 2023–24 December 2023 also at The Grit in Lowestoft.
