Mark Dixon worked full-time in archaeology on sites in Hull, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Essex, and Suffolk 1975-1978 and set up and ran a screen-printing company, Squeegee Printers, in Stowmarket, Suffolk 1979-1996. He taught screen printing and graphic design on the degree course at the Colchester Institute 1982-1983, Ipswich School of Art B.Tech in General Art & Design 1990-1992, and at Norwich School of Art, Fine Art, Sculpture, B.A. Hons degree Dissertation 'Figures in the Landscape' exploring ancient British land art 1992-1995. 'Seahenge Observed', an exhibition of screen prints and paintings about the archaeological remains revealed on the Norfolk coast 1999-2000. This was in association with the Dept of World Art and Museology at the Sainsbury's Centre at the University of East Anglia (UEA(; A series of short films combining art and science involving high voltage static electricity and ink 2001-2003 and working with the Wolsey Art Gallery at Christchurch Mansion where he was commissioned as 'artist in residence' to create an installation at St Mary-at-the-Quay, Ipswich in 2004. A past member of the Suffolk Group of Artists and exhibited with the Young Blood Art Group, Ipswich and Screen Prints, joint show at Red Dot Gallery, Ipswich.
