SEALS, Teresa
Teresa Ann Seals was born at Ipswich in 1967, eldest of the two children of Alick T. Seals and his wife Joan P. née Broomfield, who married at Ipswich in 1963. Teresa is a self-taught artist who, after years of farming and teaching English, returned to art and is a pastel artist but also working with oil paints. She specialises in people, animal and pet portraits but is able to work with artistic scenes and offers personal commissions. Teresa exhibits with the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries and a finalist with the SAA Artist of the Year and locally with a solo exhibition of her pastels and oil paintings at Gallery 142 in Hamilton Road Felixstowe and is a member of the Suffolk Open Studios and exhibits at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe; 13th Ipswich Sea Scouts Exhibitions and at St Mary's Church Debenham. From her studio at 19 Moorlands, Hollesley, near Woodbridge she offers individual tuition and small workshop groups and will demonstrate the joy of pastels to art groups and individuals. Tuition is effective for students wanting to add to their GCSE or 'A' Level portfolio of skills and is a fun activity with friends or family.
