Deborah Richards

Born in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. Deborah studied at Manchester Business School for her degree in Psychology and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) and worked as a textile marketing consultant in the north of England for many years before realising her life-long ambition of completing a fine-arts degree in painting at Glyndwr University, in North Wales, graduating BA in Fine Art (Painting) in 2005. She now lives with her family in Ipswich, she has five adult children, three boys and two girls. Her inspiration comes from nature, with plants, trees, sky and animals, birds in particular but often strays into other areas such as portraiture. Her preferred media is oil on canvas on which she can add coloured glazes and scumbles, giving me total control of my medium. Deborah is also a recognised author and her works include 'Jiddu's Journey', 'The Skywhale' and a sequel 'Evil Aliens Stole My Grandad'. Now working as a professional artist, exhibiting and selling her work through galleries and exhibitions and is a member and an exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Club.
