BUTCHER, Jenny
Jenny Butcher studied at University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich, gaining a B.A. in Fine Art in 2013. A mixed media artist living and working in Suffolk, her creative inspiration comes from anything of interest, whether natural or man-made, with objects having a way of communicating ideas with which to create sculptural forms. She finds the process of experimenting and manipulating materials exciting and challenging. Jenny revels in gathering ‘stuff’, preferring to create work from vintage, recycled fabric and found objects. Jenny has also been inspired by artists such as Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) and Tracey Emin (born 1963) and is a member of Textile Art Group Suffolk. She has exhibited at Prettys Art from 2013, Freudian Sheep Gallery, Ipswich, and the Cyprus College of Art, Paphos.
