KERRIDGE-CONIUM, Emma
Emma Lianne Kerridge was born at Ipswich in March 1990, daughter of Wayne P. Kerridge and his wife Linda née Orris, who married at Sudbury, Suffolk in 1985. Emma was educated at Hadleigh High School and at the University of Bristol taking a degree in Biology and Geology and a Research Master's in biology and is a self-taught wildlife artist. Emma has loved wildlife since a child which is the focus of her artwork, using coloured pencils, primarily Prismacolor Premier and Faber-Castell Polychromous, to bring her work to life. She has experimented with other mediums but prefers the effects that coloured pencils can produce and is learning more techniques to push her art. Emma is a geometer and enjoys playing with colour and pattern and has a special interest in universal patterns and patterns in nature – the patterns that come up again the universe over. Colour pencils have become part of Emma’s life, as she owns and runs The Colour Pencil Shop Ltd, an online art shop for all things pencil and other related art supplies. Emma is a member of the Colour Pencil Society and exhibited her work at local Suffolk exhibitions including Art on the Prom at Felixstowe, Suffolk, with Pam Rees, and at craft fairs and she accepts commissions. Emma now works as Emma L Kerridge-Conium from her studio at Woodbridge, Suffolk also creates prints, cards and gifts from her original artwork which are available to purchase through the Elkie Shop on-line.
