1935 - 2015

Catriona Jane Cursham, was born at Norwich on 19 May 1935, daughter of Dr Anthony Cursham (14 January 1907-1991), a medical practitioner, and his wife Doris Mary née Hesketh (15 October 1906-1983), who married at Hartley Wintney, Oxfordshire in 1932 and in 1939 were living at Bryn Elvet, London Road, Halesworth, Suffolk. She studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London where she won the Highly Commended Prize for her painting in 1954 and she exhibited at the Royal Academy from The Green, Blythburgh, Suffolk in 1957 'Newmaston Marshes'. As Jane Cursham, was a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle from Blythburgh, Suffolk in 1960. In 2002, Catriona Jane Cursham was living at South Cottage, Ferry Road, Carleton St Peter, Norwich where she died on 6 March 2015, she was unmarried.
