Henrietta Jordan

Henriette Jordan, was born in 1979 and spent her childhood in Scotland. Educated in Berkshire and studied at Newcastle College of Art and at Heatherley Art School but, after a degree in French and work in both travel and property in London, she attended an open evening at Lavender Hill Studios in Battersea which was followed by evening classes and a foundation course. She works directly from life and produces sculptured and textured canvasses, using a selection of brushes and palette knives. In 2013 she moved to a cottage at Bentley, Ipswich with her husband Nicholas Charteris. Her work includes landscapes and still life and she also draws and paints portraits of children and dogs. She has exhibited at the New English Art Club’s annual exhibitions at the Mall Galleries and the Lennox Gallery both in London and art fairs and galleries in Hampshire, Newmarket, Scotland and elsewhere. Since her move to Suffolk she has shown at St Peter’s Church in Sudbury and with Cobbold and Judd in Stoke-by-Nayland.
