NICHOLSON, Nick
Nicholas P. Nicholson was born in South Middlesex in June 1962, son of Leslie Ernest Nicholson (11 September 1935-30 August 1999) and his wife Katharine Hope née Disney (28 June 1936-16 October 2020), who married at Wandsworth, London in 1959. Nick had no academic art qualifications but has been drawing and painting since he could pick up a pencil and has always ‘kept his hand in’, whilst following a career as a surveyor, then a musician and for the last 20 years as a landscape and garden design professional. Nick has a rich vein of creativity and producing watercolours, with additional media, which he is constantly developing with a view to exhibiting regularly and is strongly inspired by Suffolk’s landscapes, plant forms and seasonal changes and is leading the Foundation Degree course at Easton and Otley College, now Suffolk College. Nick is based in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and is a specialist in watercolour and water-based media, nature, mysticism and music. He married in the Deben district of Suffolk in 1999, Angela B. née Hagan. He has exhibited at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe, Suffolk and with Aldeburgh Beach Lookout Arts Club.
