MOORE, Katharine
Katharine Moore spent her childhood in Cornwall and Berkshire. She gained a B.A. fine arts degree from Falmouth College of Art and spent two years in Paris and six months in China working as a Teacher of English as Foreign Language. A painter and mixed media artist and former artist in residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, Berkshire, and Windsor Arts Centre. Her husband took a position in Newmarket, Suffolk when they moved to 7 York Road, Bury St Edmund's. She has worked for different arts organisations on a freelance basis including Bury St Edmund's Art Gallery; Dance East, Ipswich; Theatre Nomad; London School of Musical Theatre and The Museum of Childhood. In 2015, Katharine was appointed a foundation Governor of St Edmundsbury Church of England VA School and lives in Bury St Edmund's with her husband and daughters Emily and Beatrice, who both attend St Edmundsbury School. Katharine Moore has exhibited at Gallery 142 and at Art on the Prom in Felixstowe, Suffolk
