BROCK, Isabel Martin
As Isabel Martin Clarke, she was born in the Stow district of Suffolk on 5 March 1911, daughter of Lily Clarke (19 September 1887-). Isabel married firstly in the Stow district in 1934, Harold Arthur Charles Cracknell (15 February 1912-22 May 1940), a fish fryer, and in 1939, was living at 189 Westgate Road, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk with her husband and her married mother Lily. Isabel's husband Harold was killed in action in 1940 and as Isabel Cracknell, she married secondly in the Lothingland district of Suffolk in 1951, Charles Edward Brock, and painted under the name of Isabel Brock. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990. Isabel Martin Brock died in the Waveney district of Suffolk on 3 August 2000.
