SINCLAIR, Ray
Raymond Sinclair was born at Newmarket, Suffolk in 1985. Ray received his GCSE in Art in 2001 and then studied AS photography at the West Suffolk College 2004-2006 continuing with Graphic design 2006-2008 attaining a National Diploma 'A' grade and in June 2009 graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge with a degree in Graphic Design. An artist and freelance designer treating his painting as a science where the method and aim are equally important in telling a narrative story. His work is in a state of evolution and his experimental approach is in not planning his subjects but basing them on the world around, with a selection of paintings playing homage to historical events. He has exhibited at the Bury St Edmund's Art Gallery and at the Bury St Edmund's Church Walks in 2012, when sixty highly regarded professional artists as well as local artists and students, generously donated their work and supported by the School of Art, West Suffolk College with all the proceeds going to St Nicholas Hospice Care. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy and at Smiths Row Art Gallery, with other exhibitions in Liverpool and Cork Street Galleries, London.
