HARVEY, Gill

Gillian M. Harvey is a self-taught artist who has been painting since leaving school and paints under the name of Gill Harvey. Her favoured medium is water-colour but around the year 2000 she commenced using several printing methods to produce art and now works exclusively using collagraph printing, with many of her images being hand-finished using watercolour washes. Her works are inspired by the sea, music and her garden with movement and rhythm essential elements. Gill currently lives and has her studio in West Suffolk where she is also a professional photographer. She has exhibited at Blackthorpe Barn, near Bury St Edmund's, Snape Maltings Galleries and in Norwich and several other Suffolk galleries. A member of Gainsborough's House Print Workshop in Sudbury and formerly with the Suffolk Open Studios from Thatched Cottage, Rotten Row, Newton, Sudbury, Suffolk.
