MAINMAN, Molly
As Doris Mary Holmes, known as Molly, she was born at Manchester on 17 August 1908, daughter of Anthony Holmes (1876-), a seedsman, and his wife Eunice née Morris (1873-), who married at Wesleyan Chapel, Eckington in 1899 and in 1921 were living at 11 South Street, Longsight, South Manchester. She married at Fairfield, St John the Divine, Liverpool in 1937 Edwin Richard Mainman (4 October 1889-) and in 1939 they were living at Ivydeme, Dallamires Lane, Ripon, Yorkshire. In 1969, when living at 5 St George's Road, Beccles, Suffolk, one of the original committee members and an exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists being the first winner of their 'Painting of the Month' competition with a still life which was exhibited in the Beccles Public Library. In 2002 Doris Mary Mainman was living at Maesyfelin Home, Llanybydder, Dyfed, Wales where she died on 3 January 2002.
