HALE, Tessa
As Teresa Mary Norman, she was born at Leighton Buzzard, Hertfordshire in 1946, as Tessa Mary Booth she married secondly in the Deben district of Suffolk, Antony J. Hale and paints under the name of Tessa Hale. A printmaker in which elements of landscape are the inspiration in a diverse range of images and techniques from great trees to tiny seed heads with etching, woodcut, collagraph and stencil print used to portray rich patterns, forms, textures, and drama. Making original prints and being involved in all stages of the work from original drawings to printmaking technique is an extension to her work as an art teacher in secondary schools and colleges. After an extensive career working with others, she has extended her own career as an artist. Tessa has exhibited in a solo exhibition at the Spiral Gallery in Debenham, Suffolk also showing at the Fisher Theatre Gallery, Bungay, the Sudbourne Park Printmakers Studio, where she is a member, and at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh. She now exhibits from Millers Way, Framlingham, Suffolk.
