Fabiana di Mascio

Fabiana di Mascio, was born at Ipswich in 1977, daughter of Giuseppe Di Mascio and his wife Joan Elizabeth née Cullen, who married at Ipswich in 1966. An Ipswich based self-taught artist, Fabiana is an abstract artist, inspired by pattern and colour to create large scale works using mixed media, often in a variety of techniques to produce vivid paintings that involve depth of texture and tactility, her work is colourful and experimental. Her pieces range from detailed, precise art to lose and open expressive art. A member of Suffolk Open Studios at Studio 4, Wolsey House, The Drift, Ipswich, a creative unit holding artist studio spaces in Ipswich. She has exhibited at the Royal Academy; Kesgrave Arts, Ipswich; The Townhouse Restaurant, Ipswich; Sproughton Tythe Barn, Ipswich; Ipswich Art Gallery; Ipswich Tourist Information Centre; East Anglian Traditional Art Centre; Studio 3 at Ipswich Town Hall Gallery and Art on the Prom, Felixstowe and elsewhere.
