IPSWICH ART GALLERY
Ipswich Art Gallery, High Street, Ipswich is an art deco building with unique features such as a glass-roofed octagonal atrium and was the former home of the Ipswich School of Art. Offering a year-round programme of exhibitions, showing Internationally acclaimed exhibitions and the Gallery is also a stage for local artists to show their work. The original late Victorian building once also housed the museum and so many of the collections have inspired local artists such as Maggi Hambling, creator of The Scallop on Aldeburgh beach and Bernard Reynolds. Ipswich also have exhibitions at Christchurch Mansion in Ipswich Town Centre and Ipswich Town Hall Gallery.
