ALDIS, Clarence Charles
Clarence Charles Aldis was born at Norwich, Norfolk on 2 July 1901, eldest child of Charles Daniels Aldis (10 November 1871-1953), a clerk to the Royal Seed Growers, and his wife Florence Jane née Lovatt (9 November 1874-1950), who married at Norwich in 1899. In 1911, Clarence was a 9-year-old, living at 14 Cardiff Road, Park Lane, Norwich with his parents, 39-year-old Charles and 36-year-old Florence with his 7-year-old sibling sister Doris Rhoda. Clarence married at Norwich in 1938, Hilda Siddall (7 August 1912-14 November 1992) and they had three children, Mary, Jennifer, and John. In 1939, a commercial traveller for a quilt manufacturer, living at Rine Cottage, Framingham Earl, Loddon, Norfolk. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists. Clarence Charles Aldis lived at 1-3 Boyscott Lane, Bungay, Suffolk where he died on 2 December 1985.
