SCOTT, Beryl
Beryl Scott studied at the St Martin's School of Art gaining a B.A. in Fine Art, specialising in printmaking and photo-media. Living in Hertfordshire where she exhibited, winning the print-making prize on two occasions in the Hertfordshire Open Touring Exhibition. In 1994 she moved to Badingham, Woodbridge, Suffolk and gained an M.A. in Visual Practice and Context at University of Suffolk, Ipswich. Using traditional techniques, relief printmaking such as linocuts and experimenting with digital technology, Beryl Scott is interested in social and political history and her work often refers to the workplace and comments on contemporary issues. A member and exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Society and has exhibited at various venues in Suffolk and Norfolk, including Art on the Prom at Felixstowe, Suffolk.
