REA, Anne
Anne Rea was born in Suffolk and following a foundation course at Great Yarmouth College of Art, Anne gained a degree at Canterbury College of Art and commenced her professional career. For many years Anne combined her painting with more graphic illustration, which included working on several award-winning educational films and interactive learning programmes. An illustrator and figurative painter living and working on the Suffolk coast, fascinated by coastlines and estuaries spending time by the sea, painting boats, yachts, and harbours, but also landscapes, seascapes and still life subjects. Anne works in watercolour, acrylics, oil, pastel, and pen and wash and produces etchings and engravings. She has exhibited at the Deben Gallery, Woodbridge; Snape Maltings Galleries; the Frame Workshop & Gallery, Ipswich; at Woodbridge Library and elsewhere. Anne also produces high quality giclée prints on Fine Art Matte paper using Ultrachrome Inks for stability and longevity.
