Daphne-Jo S. Lowrie, received her formal training at the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London and at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, graduating B.A. (hons) in Fine Art. Daphne-Jo now lives and works in the coastal village at 10 Church Lane, Walberswick, Suffolk where she has the facilities to teach and run workshops. Her inspiration is the Suffolk coast with its skies, creeks, reed beds and dramatic seascapes and is intuitively inspired by the essence and the subtle, atmospheric colours of the Suffolk coast. She regularly exhibits in East Anglia, including Buckingham Galleries at Southwold, Suffolk and in London.
