Mary Ruth Shuttleworth was born at Liskeard, Cornwall in May 1952, daughter of Vernon Robert Shuttleworth (27 December 1917-7 October 2003) and his wife Ruth Luya Shuttleworth née Cunningham, who married at Epping, Essex in 1951, Mary Ruth is one of six artist sisters who include Nancy Shuttleworth and Cathie Shuttleworth. A former member of the Eye Arts Guild and an artist and a former director/secretary of Leonfield Limited of Priory Lodge, St John’s Terrace, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
