Malcolm Buntrock

Malcolm Stephen Buntrock was born at 22 Wood Street, Chelmsford, Essex in 1939, son of Morris George Buntrock (18 December 1915-March 1986), a bus washer, and his wife Henrietta Florence née Knight (30 November 1916-12 April 1994), who married at West Ham in 1936. Malcolm studied at St Martin's School of Art, London College of Printing and at Wimbledon School of Art and worked in advertising and graphic design and was Creative Director on his retirement. Since moving to Suffolk, he has published an extensive range of greeting cards and drew regularly for the 'East Anglian Daily Times Saturday Sketchbook' and was the author of 'Suffolk Scenes' (1999). He married in Suffolk in 1984, Kathryn J. Oliver and lived at Haughley Green, Stowmarket, Suffolk. Malcolm has exhibited at the John Peel Centre and The Maxwell Chandley Gallery in Haughley Post Office, which was set up after money was bequeathed to the village church, and Malcolm Buntrock was the curator from 2014.
