BOURNE, Alice Ella
As Alice Ella Springett, she was born at 107 Stanhope Street, Regent's Park, St Pancras, London on 19 February 1907, second daughter of Harry Goss Springett (9 September 1879-28 February 1962), a letterpress machine minder, and his wife Eleanor Violet née Kerwin (25 September 1877-8 February 1963), who married at Holborn, London in 1903. In 1911, Alice was a 4-year-old, living at 107 Stanhope Street, St Pancras with her parents, 31-year-old Harry and 33-year-old Eleanor and two sibling, Kate Eleanor 5 and Lilian Rebecca 3. Alice married at St Pancras in 1933, Horace William Bourne and painted under the name of Mrs Alice Ella Bourne. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1957-1961 from Southwold, Suffolk. Alice Ella Bourne died at Brentwood, Essex on 28 December 2003 and her will was proved at Ipswich.
