FORSTER, Muriel Alice
As Muriel Alice Roe, she was born at Weaverham, Cheshire on 10 December 1885 and baptised on 29 March 1886, eldest child of Revd Robert Gordon Roe (5 July 1860-19 May 1927), and his wife Isabel Alice née Kysh (17 August 1860-11 January 1938), who was born in India and married at Fulham, London in 1885. In 1891, Muriel was a 5-year-old, living at Badwell Ash Vicarage in Suffolk with her parents, 30-year-old Robert and 27 [sic] year-old Isabel, with two siblings, Robert Gordon 3, born in Middlesex and Maud Beatrice 2, born in Ipswich. Muriel married at St Margaret's Church, Leiston, Suffolk on 4 January 1910, Revd Ralph Brown Forster (c1863-6 August 1922) and in 1911, the 26-year-old wife of 46-year-old Ralph, living at Kessingland Rectory with their newly born daughter, Muriel Carol Isabel. As Mrs Muriel A. Forster, a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1910-1920 from Kessingland, Suffolk. Her husband died at Kessingland in 1922, aged 59 and the following year she married at Blofield, Norfolk, George Julian Pytches (21 December 1880-21 February 1965), an R.A.F. officer, and in 1924 Muriel is listed at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle as Mrs Pytches of Ruskington, Lincolnshire. In 1939, they were living at Westcliffe House, East Kesteven, Lincolnshire, her husband later became a college lecturer. Muriel Alice Pytches died at 6 Bacton Road, Felixstowe on 3 March 1960, aged 74 and her husband died at The Yews, 37 South Road, Taunton, Somerset in 1965.
