Gloria M. A. Trengrove was born at Mitford, Norfolk in 1931, daughter of Revd Frederick Arundell Trengrove (6 February 1886-10 February 1961) and his wife Muriel Hulton née Wrightson (16 December 1906-30 March 1970), who married at Thirsk in 1926. Gloria married in Norwich in 1974 Ian French and paints and sculpts as Gloria French. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1983-2001 from Eye, Suffolk and latterly from Loddon, Norfolk. She exhibited four works at the Royal Norfolk Show Art Gallery in 2022 all acrylics 'Rough Sea', 'Sea Lavender', 'After the Storm' and 'Sea and Sky'.
