ROE, Muriel Alice Gordon

Muriel Alice Gordon Roe, was born in 1885 and baptised at Weaverham, Cheshire on 29 March 1886, daughter of Revd Robert Gordon Roe (1860-1927) and his wife Isabel Alice née Kysh, who married at Fulham, London in 1884. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Club 1906-1909 from King's Lynn, Norfolk and from Leiston Rectory, Suffolk, a living that her father took over from Revd Ralph Brown Gordon. Muriel married at Leiston in 1910, Revd Ralph Brown Forster (1863-1922) and in 1911, a 26 year old, living at Kessingland Rectory, Lowestoft, Suffolk with her 46 year old husband Ralph and their newly born daughter Muriel Carol Isabel, born at Kessingland. In the 1911 census Ralph place of birth is noted as Middleston, Suffolk when it was actually Middlesbrough and Muriel's as Badwell Ash, Suffolk when it was actually Weaverham, Cheshire. Her later whereabouts have yet to be uncovered but her husband died at Kessingland Rectory on 6 August 1922. She probably married at Blofield, Norfolk in the following year, George J. Pytches but disappears.
