ROE, Muriel Alice Gordon
Muriel Alice Gordon Roe was born on 10 December 1885 and baptised at Weaverham, Cheshire on 29 March 1886, daughter of Revd Robert Gordon Roe (5 July 1860-19 May 1927) and his wife Isabel Alice Kysh (17 August 1860-11 January 1938), daughter of John Anthony Kysh, who married at Fulham, London on 24 May 1884. Muriel was a member and exhibitor of some fourteen works at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Club 1906-1909 from King's Lynn, Norfolk and from Leiston Rectory, Suffolk, a living that her father had taken over from her future husband. Muriel married at St Margaret's Church, Leiston on 4 January 1910, Revd Ralph Brown Forster (1862-6 August 1922), rector of Kessingland, late perpetual curate at Leiston. In 1921 they were living at Kessingland Rectory with their two children Muriel Carol Isabel, born at Kessingland on 24 December 1910 and Ralph Anthony born in 1914. Her husband died at Kessingland Rectory on 6 August 1922 and Muriel married secondly at Blofield, Norfolk on 26 April the following year, 42-year-old bachelor George Julian Pytches (21 December 1880-21 February 1965), gentleman. In 1939 they were living at Westcliffe House, Ruskington, East Kesteven, Lincolnshire. Muriel Alice Gordon Pytches died at 6 Bacton Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk on 3 March 1960, aged 74.
