Tobias Ford graduated from Hereford College of Arts in Applied Fine Arts. Tobias then worked with renowned East Anglian sculptors Laurence Edwards, Antonia Hockton, and with Artworks East, before focussing on his own practice at Butley Mills Studios in Suffolk. Ford is a sculptor living and working in Suffolk. He sculpts animal and figurative artworks constructed by welding fragments of steel together using a self-developed method. He also exhibits artworks made from wire and plaster, playing on his intuitive manner of sculpting, and capturing movement as well as the line of form and weight of the subjects which inspire him. He exhibits nationally and internationally.
