MCINTYRE, Bridget
Bridget Fiona Sutherland she was born in July 1961 and grew up in Lancashire as the youngest of three children. At school Bridget had been told she was poor at art and so she gave up painting. When she was 18, her parents moved to Suffolk and their home was in Sproughton near Ipswich and during her degree courses, Bridget took a year out and worked at Ensors Accountants in Ipswich and after graduating in 1982 went to work with Willis Faber (now Willis Towers Watson) in Ipswich. Bridget has subsequently held several very senior management positions. Bridget married at Ipswich in 1984 Christopher G McIntyre and following a conversation between local artist Mary Harding and her husband when he was told bring “bring her to me, I’ll teach her” and so over twenty years ago Bridget began painting. Since then she has spent time with artists in the UK and overseas developing her skills and discovering her love of art. A completely different place from where Bridget was as a little girl. Bridget McIntyre was the founder of the Blossom Charity in Eye, Suffolk and the Go on Safari trail and now lives at Eye in Suffolk.
